10dpo...& Great Insurance turned Horrible

Is it Ground Hog Day?!
Ugh. When you work all week, and all weekend, Monday becomes Hell :)
I feel like I haven't had a day off in forever!
Except I had my Birthday off, just 10 short days ago!
Doesn't feel like it though.
So here we are 10dpo..
10 more days to go..
Shoot me now. k.
I wanted to explain a little more about my brief post yesterday
stating that if this cycle fails we will be moving on to the RE
& Starting procedures to begin IUI #1
Scott and I talked for a while Saturday morning,
Well I talked, he listened and agreed
I just feel like we are not doing enough, like we should be trying harder.
I feel like maybe we would have more success with IUI?
There is just one small problem. I found out today, my wonderful, expensive,
great, insurance doesn't cover it.
No fertility treatments at all.
NONE.
{Insert freak out}
I really hope the clomid does the trick because no insurance fertility treatments
can become ridiculously expensive!
Please say a quick prayer that in 10 short days we get a
BFP
that results in a take home baby!
My fingers and toes are crossed tight for the next 10 days~

  6. Stupid insurance - it's so common that we think we are paying for decent coverage when in reality many things are not covered - ugh!.

Good luck - I hope it's a + sign and you won't have to go on to the next step. And I'm glad to see that you guys got out to go ice staking - happy to see you both smiling and also that Scott is feeling better too!

  7. Oh I'm so sorry! I think it's terrible when insurance doesn't cover fertility treatments. Ugh. I hope that you don't even need to worry about it though. Still praying for you and Scott and your future little bean. I *really* hope this is your cycle!! Sending huge hugs your way~~

  8. I think it's common for insurance to not cover infertility treatments. There are only a handful of states that mandate infertility insurance. It sucks...
Don't get me started on insurance covering people who CHOOSE to smoke, drink, or make themselves morbidly obese. Insurance will pay for COPD, liver failure and diabetes, things that could have been PREVENTED. But, people who had NO choice in their fertility status really get the short end of the stick.
Someday I'm going to total everything we have spent over the past 3.5+ years. I'm willing to bet it's about $25,000 out of pocket. That's the cost of a car..yuck.
HOpefully you won't have to worry about any of this because this CYCLE WILL work for you! Hang in there on the wait and stay positive!!
