Epic Fail(s)...

I seem to have a case of the
dropseys lately and it's really getting on my last nerve!
Not only do I drop my work keys at least twice a day
I am now dropping bigger things
Like for instance
Monday night I made a nice big batch of
Turkey Hot Shot!
poured a bowl for Scott and a bowl for myself
and put the rest in a tupperware as I turned to put it
in the fridge I bumped the edge and sent scorching hot
turkey hot shot all over my hand and all over the fridge..not the outside
but the inside! I almost cried for 2 reason
1 it was the best damn THS I have ever made
and 2 because I just cleaned scrubbed my fridge
before Thanksgiving! It took about 20 minutes
to completely clean it up which included
taking out the crisper drawers and pulling off
the vent cover on the bottom!
Not a happy camper was I.
Case number 2.
Last night Scott was working late and I was
dying for a large diet coke from McD's
so I bundled up and off Waffle dog and I went
to get a pop!
when we returned home I stepped inside
the house entering from the basement and
my pop flew out of my hands and smashed to the ground.
again I almost cried for 2 reasons.
1 being that I was so thirsty I couldn't stand it and decided to wait
until I got home to put my straw in and take a sip which never happened
and 2 being that
I JUST CLEANED MY CARPET!!!!
Ugh.
When I sent Scott the picture
he instantly called me and said
"Babe! Don't cry! I will bring you a new one!"
lol. he knows the clomid crazies all to well.
although I didn't cry I actually laughed
really laughed like belly shaking laugh
until tears filled my eyes and I said to myself
out loud "Don't cry over spilled diet coke!"

Geeze La Weeze what a week it's been!

I will leave you with some wise words of wisdom

Its ICLW!!!
Happy ICLW Everyone!!
If you are new here is a recap of our history
and a bit about  Scott and I!
I'm Alexis :) I am an executive assistant to my father who owns and operates 3 bowling centers I also opened an online store with my mother in July called Little Miss Millie's Boutique you can find the story behind the naming of the boutique here and you can find the store link here.
I love to shop & take long baths, hunt for rocks, bake & paint..
Scott is a graphic designer/embroiderer/ free lance web designer who also opened his own business! If you ever need a website designed or business cards, or anything really, you can visit him here. He loves art and rock hunting! creek walking and lazer tag. He is the best husband a woman could ask for and has an amazing heart. Everyone in the family calls him Sweet Scott :) he is pretty sweet!

We have been together 8 years and will be married 5 years in December!
We bought our first home 9 months after we were married.
We have been pregnant 3 times and have lost all 3 babies.
The last three years has been an up hill battle
but we believe our love has kept us strong.
and also this community!
Our last loss hit us pretty hard.
we were 12 weeks and 1 day when I spotted for the first time
we rushed to the ER to find that our baby's heart had stopped beating
around 9 weeks :(
We had really high hopes that this baby was going to be the one
we held in our arms. We celebrated those first 12 weeks
like we would be bringing a baby home in October.
I wouldn't change the excitement we had for the world.
I am happy we had those 3 months of joy.
Currently we are in the middle of our 6th and 7th round of clomid!
We have been with our RE since September and have done 3 cycles with him
This last one I went in for a follicle scan after taking 150mg of clomid
to find that my ovaries had not responded. Dr. B decided
to stair step me up to 200mg of clomid to boost my
ovaries into action.
It worked.
My follicle scan today revealed (only the right ovary was out to play)
that we have a 15mm and a 16mm growing nice and strong
Saturday the 24th and Thursday the 29th we will be doing trigger shots
December 3rd we will be testing my progesterone
and December 11th will be our BETA!!!
We have a lot of hope and faith that this will be our time!
Thank you for stopping by! We hope you decide to stay
and follow along with us on Our Journey Through This Lovely Life!

Slow and steady wins the race...

Follicle Scan went well
although my left ovary was in hiding again :-/
my right ovary holds a 15mm and a 16mm
with a lining of 9.8!!!
Nurse Erin my favorite nurse did the exam
she said she gives me mad props for
handling 2 rounds of clomid in one month!
and the last round being at 200! she said
she doesn't see many people that can handle that!
whoop whoop.
She also said that she has never seen a lining this good
with that much clomid in ones system.
She said the ovaries (when cooperating)
produce estrogen when estrogen is produced
it thickens the lining! So this is very good!
It means everything is doing what it should..
Saturday we will trigger... then again on the 29.
December 1st should be our progesterone test
but we will be out of town!
(hubby is surprising me with an anniversary trip!)
so December 3rd will be our progesterone test
then December 11th will be our pregnancy test!
AH! I am so happy we still have a shot this month!
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!
I went with my MIL downtown this morning
to pick up our race packets!
it was a bit chaotic but we managed to make it out alive!
So excited for tomorrow!!!
OH YA!
Its ICLW!!!
Happy ICLW Everyone!!

Wonderful Weekend Wrap up

This weekend was a busy one!
Friday was not very fun but the
rest of the weekend rocked!
I will start with the fun!
Saturday night we met with my parents,
their best friends and daughter at the Greene
for the lighting of the tree!

We had a front row seat at  Brio
Outside of course but we were bundled up warm
& had Mint Chocolate Martini's to sip from

See all those people!? we were safe from that mess and I heard a lot of people
saying oh we should have made reservations and sat there! lol..
you snooze you lose people.
The Martini above was SO good!
It's original name is "Dirty Girl-scout"
which I think is an absolutely disgusting name for a drink.
so I renamed it "Thin Mint" :) much better right?!
This is Sarah... She is 12 going on 23...

 My Mom and Teri
Girls table! Boys had their own ;)
Dad and Scott Love them! ♥
So much festive fun!
Sarah takes blurry pictures..this is take 12 of 20!
 Ravioli
 Pork Chops
Crab cakes!

If there is a Brio near you I recommend going!

After dinner Scott and I headed down to our favorite
cantina, Elsa's to meet up with some friends
and have a night out on the town!
I wish I had some pictures of the evening but I only got one..
and it explains the night very well.
need I say more?

Sunday Scott and I spent the WHOLE day on the couch!
well minus me going into work at 8am for an hour..
don't even ask me how I managed that,
because I am still not too sure!
around 5pm he headed into work for a bit while
I went over to visit L and the kids
we met back up around 8 and started to put up
some Christmas stuff!
We are having a Thanksgiving evening at our house.
Everyone is doing their things during the day
then we are meeting at our house for
another meal and some lounging on the couch...
wanna know the best part?!
It's a Pajama Party!
I. Cant. Wait.
 testing lights!
Hanging lights!

That's about all we got done! haha!
tonight the real stuff is coming out of the attic! Eek!!

So back to Friday..
Friday was 3 days into 200mg of clomid
and I was feeling it.
I didn't feel the best when I woke up that morning
and I had an ALL day meeting to attend.
10am-4pm meeting with eat in lunch
So during the meeting I kept feeling like I was going to pass out
then I felt like I was going to puke!
and all I wanted to do was cry!
I made it all the way until 4, how I'm not sure
but as soon as I got to the car I sobbed
and sobbed and sobbed until the tears stopped
streaming and I felt relief.
I guess I just needed a good cry?!
When I got home from work Scott packed me in
his car and off we went to look at Christmas lights
and eat at smash burger!
He had a BIG burger! I had some onion straws!

Haha! I love him! He totally turned by frown upside down :D

Wednesday is our second follicle scan for the month
which determines the fate of this cycle!
I am fairly confident that they have grown
because I felt like I popped one when I coughed this morning!
But we will see! What will be will be!
And one last thing!
newest little customer!
Her mom rushed to meet us at the craft show
to find a headband to match her darling little dress!
as her photo shoot was that day!
Thank goodness we had the perfect
headband to accompany her perfect dress!

 Have a fabulous week!
& Happy Thanksgiving!
