Five Things Friday

It's Five Things Friday!

1} I am an only child!

2} I am a clomid baby! My mom took clomid to get pregnant with me!

3} I broke my leg when I was 18 months then made it
24 years before I broke my wrist and my left foot in the same year...
I broke my wrist after I tripped on a rug I swear my pointy high
heels had nothing to do with it! I actually fractured my foot stepping into my
garage It was the first day of the pool opening and I was super excited to go!
The crazy part is I thought it was just sprained and left for CO the
next day, when I returned 5 days later my foot was the size of my head
and I decided then would be a good time to have an Xray...
yes I blinged out my cast ;D
and since I can't find the picture of my super huge foot here is
a picture from our trip to CO (when I walked around with a broken foot)
and Scott laid out in the sun a tad bit to long!

4} I used to be an Indian Princess :)
No really!
Indian Princesses was a group of fathers and daughters
that got together once a month to do crafts
and twice a year we had weekend long camp outs!
My name was Little Fox, his name was Big Bear
this picture was from the year he was Chief of the Fox tribe! :)

5}I SAW A FREAKING FIRE BALL IN THE SKY LAST NIGHT!
I don't even know how to put into words my excitement that I witnessed this
crazy event! True Story: I was over at my friend Jenn's house we were out
back on the deck talking with another one of her friends and I was telling
them about how we need to take a vacation to the Outter Banks in NC
because when I went the sky and shooting stars were out of this world amazing!
NO LIE as I am telling the story I see this crazy fire ball flying across the sky!
We stood there shell shocked for a good 5 minutes saying
Oh My God over and over again! It was incredible!
Even more incredible...My husband was at our house
standing the the driveway and saw the exact same thing!
and it made it to the news today!

5

5 things Friday!
the about "us" edition

1. We say "I love You" All. The. Time.
No joke some of my friends yell at us when
their around because we constantly say
"I love you babe"
2. We never NEVER go to bed angry.
Someone gave me this advice before we got married
and we have followed it since we said "I Do"
I won't lie there are some moments when
we are laying there wondering who is going
to break first.. and it usually always me.
But we always resolve it before we fall asleep.
3. We have been married for 5 and a half years
& just a month ago
we put a TV in our room.
another little piece of advice we heard before we got hitched,
was a TV in the bedroom
would kill the romance.
So no TV it was!
But after some rearranging
of things in our house
we ended up with a 43 inch flat screen on the dresser -_-
it really hasn't killed our romance though
we hardly turn it on!
4. We have a lot of opposites..
He likes to stay up late, I like to go to bed early
His idea of relaxing is doing things, my idea of relaxing is laying around
He loves Sweet, I love Salty
He has no road rage, I am the definition of road rage :)
Opposites attract it's true!
5. We made a packed shortly after I began this blog
that we would not let our Infertility break us.
Infertility is hard, it's hard on me it's hard on him,
and it's hard on us.
But we use our love to strengthen us.
and together we can get through anything!

& if ya don't know...now you know!

We have done 6 rounds of clomid with timed intercourse (round 3 we got pregnant but miscarried at 12 weeks) We cycled until November and took december and January off, January 2013 I had a chemical pregnancy which caused my period to be a no show for the month of February! March we did our first Femara/IUI cycle. BFN. April we did our second Femara/IUI cycle. BFN. May we are currently doing a Femara/IUI with Gonal-F injections! My follicle scan is Sunday at 8 am when we will decide if we are doing a 24 or 36 hour IUI. We are praying that this third IUI will result in our take home baby(ies)!!

Pulling Out The Medium Guns!

Yes I know the saying usually goes something like
"Lets Pull Out The Big Guns!"
which is what I said to my nurse this morning!
The convo went like this..
She said "I was so sad when I saw your name on
my list yesterday!" "What the hell is going on!?"
Ha!
I said "I was going to ask you the same thing!"
"I have been here over a year,
I think it's time to pull out the big guns!"
her reply was
"Yes we could but do you have have the money
for the big guns?"
"Well no not right this very second" I replied
"How about we pull out the Medium Guns for now!!"
"Deal lets do it!"
We laughed for awhile and then the Dr. entered.
My scan was fine and I was cleared to start round 3 of Femara
But Dr. G didn't just leave after he cleared me, he continued
to talk about options and what to do next.
It was almost like he was saying straight to my face
You need to do more!
So about an hour after my appointment I called
my nurse and requested we throw the injectables in now!
why wait?! why do the same thing again if it didn't work the first
2 times?! Why not throw some Gonal F in there! :)
So that is the new plan!
Femara days 3-7 Gonal-F 7-?
Follicle scan on Sunday May 26th
Trigger hopefully Monday with a 24 hour IUI
on Tuesday.. I requested the 24 hour IUI
The last two were 36 hours and then I would sit in the
waiting room for 30 minutes then on the table pantless for 15 more
minutes...So to me it wasn't really 36 hours at all!
I expressed this concern to Dr. G and he had no problem
moving up to the 24 hour IUI
The only maybe tiny problem will be
the damn weekend! So Since Monday the 27th is Memorial Day
the Office is closed and will instead be seeing patients on Sunday..
Sunday is day 12 for me..so that works out perfectly
But...If I am over ready they will have me trigger that night
and continue with a 36 hour IUI...
If I am at say a 22 then I can trigger Monday and
have the 24 hour IUI Tuesday...
Have I lost you yet?!
Whew! It's like wham bam right into a new mix of things!
So my question to you girls is
How is Gonal-F?! what can I expect?

Baselines SUCK! :) who the hell wants to be wanded with Aunt Flo in town!
I was in a "don't touch me don't talk to me" Mood this morning! lol thanks for the moodiness AF!  :D
I feel better know that I know we are adding Gonal-F I feel like we
are actually "Doing More" than the same thing over and over...
So here we go! Cycle 10!

Femara + Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI = A BABY (hopefully!)

No Need..

No need for a Beta or POAS
as AF arrived today.
I had a sneaking suspicion that she was on her way
yesterday when the intense cramping was followed
with spotting...
Soooo instead of crying all day
I decided to laugh.
I went out with my friend Jenn for a beer or two or maybe three
We laughed and chatted for a long while.
My Baseline is tomorrow
and we are going to discus increasing the Femara dose.
We will do one last IUI/Femara cycle
before we sit down and decide what to do next.
Hopefully 3rd time will be a charm! :)
On to cycle 10!
Keep your chin up that's all you can do!
 TONIGHT
I am so excited a few of my girl friends and I are
going to a baseball game! We haven't all been out
together in so long! If you follow me on Instagram
I'm sure I will be taking a million pictures tonight! :)

& One final quote I want to leave you with

People For An
EXTRAORDINARY
Destiny....

Maxwell Turns 1 Year Old!

This weekend we celebrated Maxwell's 1st Birthday!
He was my 5th live birth and my first csection to attend !
Just call me "The Professional Baby Catcher!"
He is so adorable and growing
so quickly! He is also the little brother of Nathan
remember my pseudo child that ate a dime?
Anyways Saturday was spent doing some last minute
shopping and lots of decorating!
Sunday was filled with food prep and final touches
I may have even driven to Lucy's like this...
I also may have been driving next to a cop
the entire way, singing Dixie Chicks at the top of my lungs...
I am actually quite surprised he didn't pull me over!

Before we knew it, it was time for friends, family and food!
My 3 favorite F's :)

Here is a quick look at the Birthday Boy
Happy 1st Birthday Maxwell!

I also wanted to share my beautiful gift from my Mother!
She gave me this bracelet yesterday for Mothers Day..
A hard day for all of us still waiting for our tiny miracles
It says "Even miracles take a little time."
It's a quote from Cinderella!
I love it so much!
and it is so true! Miracles do take time!
We are still waiting for ours!
&
Hopefully we won't have to wait much longer!

Five Things Friday!

Five things About Me
 That You Might Not Know!

1. I have NO cavities!
When I was little I had all of my teeth
except 2 pulled! I have the longest roots you will ever see!
How are your chompers?!

2. I've been in an earthquake and a Hurricane!
I was young, and in Las Vegas with my parents
I remember looking out the window from
the 17th floor and seeing the buildings around us swaying!
The Hurricane occurred the day we were planning
to leave our vacation in Florida, We were delayed
leaving by a few days! I've never seen such a storm!
Have you ever experienced a natural disaster?

3. I've ridden in an Ambulance once.
and hopefully never again!
I had my tonsils out when I was 18
and  they bled so bad that my mom had to call 911
Have you ever ridden in an Ambulance?

4. I've called 911 for a real bad emergency
(I've called other times too, to report car accidents and such)
but the one time I had to call in a shear panic
We were having a NYE party
people were leaving and we
were about to go to bed when we heard
someone screaming in the front yard!
we went out to find one of Scott's friends
badly beaten and unconscious
It was awful! He is now fully recovered
but went through many surgeries
and has a metal plate in his head. :(
Have you ever had to call 911?

5. I have a slight obsession with clothes
seriously you should see my "wardrobe room" right now!
It's is ridiculous!
When I was in high school I never wore
the same thing twice...no lie.
I have gotten better as I've gotten older,
I now have the bring one in take one out rule!
Buy three shirts, donate three shirts!
Do you have an obsession with clothes, shoes or jewelry?

IF YA DON'T KNOW....NOW YOU KNOW!

*TTC update, Not much to update...it's 11dpiui 9dptrigger2
and I have yet to pee on anything! I am still holding
strong for the 15th! :D

The Time My Pseudo Child Ate A Dime

Nathan is what I consider my Pseudo child :)
I was there when he was born he was my
hmmm I think 3rd live birth that I attended.
I babysat him weekly from 4 weeks old till 3ish

Him and Scott are best buds!
I have watched this beautiful little boy grow and grow
He is one of the smartest kids you will ever meet!
He is 4 1/2 now :(
I could go on and on about how smart he is
about how he can add and subtract
spell and read..
Not only is he super smart he is kind and polite.
When he meets someone new he will shake their hand
and say "hello my name is Nathan"
When he is leaving he will shake their hand again and say
"It was nice meeting you"
He got bit by a dog a few months back,
(I will spare you the pictures because they are not pretty)
it was awful and scary but he was brave
and strong. When the police came to get a statement
Nathan gave them the whole story, including his address
city state zip and phone number.
To say the cops were impressed was an understatement!

Which brings me to my title..
The Time My Pseudo Child Ate A Dime!
Scott and I were over visiting last week
It was a little past nap time and we were
getting ready to leave when Scott found a dime
on the floor and handed it to Nathan telling him to
put it in his piggy bank in his room.
Scott and I leave and about 30 seconds later
Lucy calls me and in her calmest voice ever
says...I have to take Nathan to Children's...
He just ate that dime Scott gave him!
I couldn't believe what I was hearing!
Nathan? No way! that's all I could say!
over and over again.
I blame this mindless dime eating on lack of sleep,
I mean, we were cutting into his nap time..
maybe he was craving metal?
I have no clue but thank the lord
he is perfectly fine the Xrays showed
the Dime and they are now just waiting
for it to pass...ya ew.

I love my Pseudo Child to death!
But no more coins for him!
