Slow and steady wins the race...
Follicle Scan went well
although my left ovary was in hiding again :-/
my right ovary holds a 15mm and a 16mm
with a lining of 9.8!!!
Nurse Erin my favorite nurse did the exam
she said she gives me mad props for
handling 2 rounds of clomid in one month!
and the last round being at 200! she said
she doesn't see many people that can handle that!
whoop whoop.
She also said that she has never seen a lining this good
with that much clomid in ones system.
She said the ovaries (when cooperating)
produce estrogen when estrogen is produced
it thickens the lining! So this is very good!
It means everything is doing what it should..
Saturday we will trigger... then again on the 29.
December 1st should be our progesterone test
but we will be out of town!
(hubby is surprising me with an anniversary trip!)
so December 3rd will be our progesterone test
then December 11th will be our pregnancy test!
AH! I am so happy we still have a shot this month!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!
I went with my MIL downtown this morning
to pick up our race packets!
it was a bit chaotic but we managed to make it out alive!
So excited for tomorrow!!!

OH YA!
Its ICLW!!!
Happy ICLW Everyone!!
If you are new here is a recap of our history
and a bit about Scott and I!
•
I'm Alexis :) I am an executive assistant to my father who owns and operates 3 bowling centers I also opened an online store with my mother in July called Little Miss Millie's Boutique you can find the story behind the naming of the boutique here and you can find the store link here.
I love to shop & take long baths, hunt for rocks, bake & paint..
Scott is a graphic designer/embroiderer/ free lance web designer who also opened his own business! If you ever need a website designed or business cards, or anything really, you can visit him here. He loves art and rock hunting! creek walking and lazer tag. He is the best husband a woman could ask for and has an amazing heart. Everyone in the family calls him Sweet Scott :) he is pretty sweet!
We have been together 8 years and will be married 5 years in December!
We bought our first home 9 months after we were married.
We have been pregnant 3 times and have lost all 3 babies.
The last three years has been an up hill battle
but we believe our love has kept us strong.
and also this community!
Our last loss hit us pretty hard.
we were 12 weeks and 1 day when I spotted for the first time
we rushed to the ER to find that our baby's heart had stopped beating
around 9 weeks :(
We had really high hopes that this baby was going to be the one
we held in our arms. We celebrated those first 12 weeks
like we would be bringing a baby home in October.
I wouldn't change the excitement we had for the world.
I am happy we had those 3 months of joy.
Currently we are in the middle of our 6th and 7th round of clomid!
We have been with our RE since September and have done 3 cycles with him
This last one I went in for a follicle scan after taking 150mg of clomid
to find that my ovaries had not responded. Dr. B decided
to stair step me up to 200mg of clomid to boost my
ovaries into action.
It worked.
My follicle scan today revealed (only the right ovary was out to play)
that we have a 15mm and a 16mm growing nice and strong
Saturday the 24th and Thursday the 29th we will be doing trigger shots
December 3rd we will be testing my progesterone
and December 11th will be our BETA!!!
We have a lot of hope and faith that this will be our time!

Thank you for stopping by! We hope you decide to stay
and follow along with us on Our Journey Through This Lovely Life!
Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog too (ICLW#44). Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I, too, did 8 rounds of clomid this past year before taking a break. Clomid is from hell! Yuck. Good luck this time around.
ReplyDeleteThis filled my eyes with tears, the re cap of the battle. As I always tell you, someday this will all be a distant memory and we will be busy spoiling and chasing your children.
ReplyDeleteMy theory about your hiding ovary is that it contains a nice, big, sparkly, follicle that is holding the golden ticket! LOL
I love you two, you've been through more in 5 years of marriage than some people go through in a life time. Always make your shoulders a strong place to lean and your arms a soft place to fall. Words of wisdom from your Momma!
Love you.
Woot on your great appointment! Fingers crossed! Adam and I can start trying to make a baby the good ol way in three weeks. Hoping the surgery fixed things up! I'll be thinking of you ((HUGS))
ReplyDeletewoohooo for a nice lining!! Got everything crossed for you Alexis!
ReplyDeleteHi from ICLW. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to meet you. During my last pregnancy I tried not to celebrate a milestone until 15 weeks, in case I'd had another missed miscarriage. But it's hard not to see 12 weeks as moving into a safer zone. I'm sorry for your losses.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from ICLW.

ReplyDeleteHi! Here from iclw. Congrats on the follicles! Sending good vibes your way for a BFP.
ReplyDeleteI love what your Mom said. She is such a Mama!!! I agree with her. Although it may not seem like it now, this truly will be a distant memory soon. I love what nurse Erin had to say!! This month sounds more than promising:) Good for you for taking all the clomid! You are really goin for it!! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat* mama
DeleteYou are a rock star! Fingers crossed for you!
ReplyDeleteYay for amazing lining and a wonderful appointment!! SO happy to hear!! I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving - just saw the pretty pictures on your mom's page. Wishing you lots of luck with the trigger tomorrow! Hope your weekend is off to a great start, pretty lady!
