|Anniversaries 1-5! we look like such babies year 1!!|
Chicago was Amazing!
I got home from work Thursday night and Scott already had the truck packed!
He was so excited to leave we jumped in the car and hit the road!
We weren't on the road long before he spilled the beans
that we were headed to the Windy City!
Later that night we stopped for some White Castle
and decided to stay at the Marriott that was near by!
It was a great room!
Early Friday morning we were up and ready to get back on the road
2 short hours and we were entering Chicago!
We went to the hotel valeted the car and headed up to our room
to prepare for a day of walking!
we went ALL day and ALL night with out a cab!
We got up and had a wonderful breakfast before
catching a cab to Tiffany's!
yes a cab.. but we walked allllll over alllll day
then walked as far as we could back before catching one more cab
back to the hotel for a nap!
What can I say...we are nappers!
We got up and got ready for dinner
and decided to walk..taking my directions.
45 minutes later my knees were about to snap
from the high boots and uneven ground
but a dirty martini fixed me right up!
We had an amazing dinner then headed back to the hotel
(Scott's way which only took 28 minutes..)
(we tried to get a horse and carriage ride but they had been booked for
days due to the Festival of Lights event going on -_- )
We had champaign and wine in the room
and talked about what we are going to name our babies
then we headed to bed! cool kids I know!
Sunday on our way home we stopped to see
our best friends that moved to IN a few years ago,
we hardly ever see them anymore and it was great to visit
with them for a while and see their new home!
We arrived home in time to unpack and relax on the couch
preparing for the crazy busy work week ahead!
I am so thankful that I have such an amazing husband!
