The Time My Pseudo Child Ate A Dime

Nathan is what I consider my Pseudo child :)
I was there when he was born he was my
hmmm I think 3rd live birth that I attended.
I babysat him weekly from 4 weeks old till 3ish

Him and Scott are best buds!
I have watched this beautiful little boy grow and grow
He is one of the smartest kids you will ever meet!
He is 4 1/2 now :(
I could go on and on about how smart he is
about how he can add and subtract
spell and read..
Not only is he super smart he is kind and polite.
When he meets someone new he will shake their hand
and say "hello my name is Nathan"
When he is leaving he will shake their hand again and say
"It was nice meeting you"
He got bit by a dog a few months back,
(I will spare you the pictures because they are not pretty)
it was awful and scary but he was brave
and strong. When the police came to get a statement
Nathan gave them the whole story, including his address
city state zip and phone number.
To say the cops were impressed was an understatement!

Which brings me to my title..
The Time My Pseudo Child Ate A Dime!
Scott and I were over visiting last week
It was a little past nap time and we were
getting ready to leave when Scott found a dime
on the floor and handed it to Nathan telling him to
put it in his piggy bank in his room.
Scott and I leave and about 30 seconds later
Lucy calls me and in her calmest voice ever
says...I have to take Nathan to Children's...
He just ate that dime Scott gave him!
I couldn't believe what I was hearing!
Nathan? No way! that's all I could say!
over and over again.
I blame this mindless dime eating on lack of sleep,
I mean, we were cutting into his nap time..
maybe he was craving metal?
I have no clue but thank the lord
he is perfectly fine the Xrays showed
the Dime and they are now just waiting
for it to pass...ya ew.

I love my Pseudo Child to death!
But no more coins for him!

  1. Oh my gosh, that is TOO funny. At least you took him to the hospital so you know that all he has to do is wait it out and it's not something major. Your pseudo kid is a pretty lucky guy to have you in his life :)

  2. Oh my gosh, he is so adorable!! I love that you've gotten to see him grow from birth to a handsome, polite little man :) I hope my son sounds like that when he starts talking! Maybe you can come out here and teach him ;) I'm glad he's okay despite his "snack"...that will definitely be a story to tell when he gets his first girlfriend hahaha!
